Historic Uptown Secures Spot on Visit COS Website
Historic Uptown has gained significant recognition through a collaborative update with Visit COS, now featured prominently on VisitCOS.com. The new content highlights the community’s unique identity, landmarks, and cultural offerings, ensuring visitors appreciate Historic Uptown as a distinct destination, enhancing local visibility and pride. Further advocacy efforts are planned.

We’re thrilled to share a major win for Historic Uptown! Thanks to a collaborative effort with the Visit COS team, our neighborhood is now meaningfully featured in their newly updated Old North End Area page on VisitCOS.com.
While the page is still titled after one of the region’s most recognized neighborhoods, the content now reflects the unique identities of surrounding communities, including Historic Uptown. Our team worked closely with Visit COS to revise the language, recommend new photos, and suggest updates to highlight landmarks like Monument Valley Park, McAllister House, and the Fine Arts Center, right here in our own backyard.
This update ensures that visitors don’t just see our neighborhood as part of a broader region, they understand what makes Historic Uptown special. From historic homes and walkable streets to vibrant businesses and cultural destinations, Historic Uptown is now on the map for travelers exploring north of downtown.
Thank you to the Visit COS team: Alexea Veneracion & Sheridan Powell
We’re proud of the outcome and grateful to Visit COS for their openness and partnership. Stay tuned, we’ll continue advocating for Historic Uptown to be seen, supported, and celebrated.
