Historic Uptown was joined by 182 neighbors at our Ice Skate Fest! We had a blast playing yard games, ax throwing, and ice skating in Ed Robson Arena. Read all about the festivities below and check out the gallery at the bottom of the page for photographs of the event and a link to download.

Event Details
Historic Uptown hosted a summer gathering inspired by Mayor Yemi’s 1000 Gatherings Initiative. This event was FREE, including food and activities. We met our neighbors and made connections with your community. You can find more details about the event below.

- Universal Education Foundation (301 E. Platte Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903) – The Universal Education Foundation, School of Original Thought ™ builds community through assisting people to gain different perspectives, change old patterns and create new relationships. We are a fully volunteer staffed nonprofit. We’ll have flyers, brochures and some swag for our free support groups that we have for different ages. We are all about building community and offering support how we can. We also do Clothing Giveaways with donated clothing several times per year in addition to other occasional events and regular groups.

Parking
For the duration of the event (11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.), parking was available in permitted lots and spaces on the Colorado College campus. The parking garage was closed in addition to both ends of Dale at Nevada and Tejon.
