About
The Nifong house is a 1 and ½ story frame wood-shingled single-family dwelling that is Craftsman in style. Its axis is perpendicular to the street, with gable ends to the east (façade) and west; the façade displays a triple window inset a shed dormer. Smaller gabled dormers encasing windows appear to the north and south. Squared brackets support deep eaves. The first floor is elevated and accessed by 7 steps, and the front door is offset to the north. The front porch and roof wraps around to the south elevation. The porch displays a modern foundation, columns, and railings. There’s a shed-roofed addition to the rear and a detached stone garage.
The dwelling sits on a 6,000-square-foot lot with a footprint of 1,316 square feet, an additional 971 square feet on the second floor, with basement space.
