About
The Hallock house is a one-story stucco house with a walk-out basement in Spanish Mission style. A single-space carport occupies the north end of the east-facing façade and appears to occupy what was once a driveway that descended to the rear, perhaps to access an attached garage. The façade has a low projecting front porch with a tile-covered roof supported by square pillars. Tile-roofed triple windows flank the entry and a stepped parapet roofline. A tiled shed roof is attached to the south elevation of the house with a finished path, indicating another entry. There is a stuccoed gate structure, but no front wall.
The structure sits on an 11,549 square-foot rectangular lot in the Lefkowsky Resubdivision of Block G, Addition No. 5 south of the southwest corner of Park Terrace and Monument. The building’s footprint is 1,838 square feet.
Timeline
1925
The home was built by Benjamin Lefkowsky after pulling a building permit on May 15, 1925. It was for a 9-room, 2-bath stucco dwelling at 614 Park Side Row; the address was later changed to 614 Park Terrace. Lefkowsky both designed and contracted 7 homes in the area.

On May 14, 1925, the Gazette Telegraph published a short note about the permit that reads:
NEW RESIDENCE-Another home building project was started yesterday when a permit was issued from the office of the city engineer to Benjamin Lefkowski, $7,000, for a stucco house at 614 Park Side row.
1926
J.C. Hallock is listed as a resident in the City Directory 1926-1931.
